Join Reading's largest property event for an evening of property networking featuring a new expert speaker each month. Network, mingle, learn and be inspired.
The Reading Property Meet is a friendly, independent property networking event which has grown from a handful of attendees to over 40 per month!
We meet on the last Thursday of every month at the Thames Lido. The atmosphere in the room is infectious! With renowned guest speakers, a pre-networking deal clinic with Adam and lots of opportunity and time to network. You will get to meet fellow property professionals, with all levels of experience, who are only too happy to give you the benefit of their experiences – both good and bad!
The evening is hosted by Adam Vickers and Karen Stanbridge. They love networking and talking about property with both new and seasoned property people alike. Each month there will be guest speakers from the world of property and the professionals who work alongside them to offer people a chance to learn from their experiences.

We are delighted to welcome Sue Sims as our guest speaker for April’s Reading Property Meet!
Sue bought her first buy-to-let property at just 21 - a shop with a flat above it. While she left it largely untouched for 16 years, she later dived fully into property investing, gaining education, experience, and valuable partnerships along the way. Now, with over 30 years in the industry, she owns a portfolio of more than 45 properties in and around Birmingham.
Beyond managing her own investments, Sue is a mentor to new investors and the founder of Genie Homes, a lettings and HMO management agency - operating from the very shop where her journey began! She is also a co-founder of Partners in Property, an independent property network with thriving communities in Birmingham, London, and Bristol.
Sue has been a key advocate for social housing, demonstrating how it can play a vital role in a property investor’s portfolio. 50% of her own portfolio is dedicated to social housing, with the rest consisting of serviced accommodation (SA), buy-to-lets (BTL), and HMOs.
At Reading Property Meet on 24th April, Sue will be speaking about social housing and how it can benefit all landlords, especially with the upcoming Renters’ Reform Bill. She will share practical strategies for incorporating social housing into your portfolio, ensuring stable rental income, and navigating the changing landscape of landlord responsibilities.
